Melrose Superfine H2Oil is a mixture of coconut glycerides and coconut oil, with the addition of the oil dispersant Laureth-3. This oil is much less viscous than our other massage oils and is practically colourless. It will never go rancid because coconut glycerides and coconut oil are close to 100% saturated; meaning they are non-reactive to oxygen. As it is finer that other oil, it is preferred by massage therapists for hairy bodies.

The seed of the hemp plant produces a rich, pure oil that is perfectly suited for dry hair and skin. Hemp oil is one of the few oils that is rich in the essential omega fatty acids 3, 6, 9 and GLA. Melrose Organic Hemp Oil products are nourishing to both the skin and scalp due to the beneficial fatty acids, which are capable of penetrating the skin’s surface to regenerate the protective layers. It is well known for its deeply moisturising and conditioning properties.

Melrose Flaxseed Oil is cold-pressed from Australian-grown flaxseeds. Flaxseed oil has one of the highest concentrations of plant-based essential fatty acid omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and is an excellent vegan alternative to fish oil. Flaxseed oil is a delicate oil that is sensitive to heat and light. To enable this product to be stored at room temperature and retain the nutritional profile, it undergoes a specialised fine-filtration process to remove any naturally occurring substances which can contribute to spoilage. Melrose was the ‘first in flax’, producing the first bottle of flaxseed oil for the Australian market over 30 years ago. It has a creamy, nutty and slightly bitter taste.

Melrose was the first in Australia to develop the water dispersible concept that has become a popular massage oil type. Water dispersible oils are popular because they not only increase the life of towels considerably, but normal washing powder can be used to remove the massage oil from the towel. You can test the dispersibility of H2Oil by adding a few drops to a glass of warm water and shake – it will turn white – emulsifying the oil.
